    Need thickness formula for plus power

    i need thickness formula to find out thickness acording to size for plus power lenses

    I hope this helps.

    Thickness in mm = (Radius squared X power)/2000 (index of refraction-1)

    • the radius is (decentration doubled + the ED)/2
    • the power is located in the strongest meridian of the lens
    Once computed, add the thickness to the predetermined edge thickness for plus lenses and the center thickness for minus lenses.
