    Progressive markings!

I think that I may have found a rival for the Younger Image, and the most easiest markings to see...ever!

I just got a pair of X-Cel's Freedom ID's in Trivex. Lets just say, it was very easy to dot the lens up for verification!!

Naaah, if you want non-subtle engravings, get an Adaptar. You can see those diamond engravings from across the room! In fact, the only complaint we've ever had about visible markings was after we took a customer from New Super-No-Lines to Adaptar. We gave her Essilor's address so she could write a complaint letter. And put her back in NSNL.

On the other hand, try, just try to find markings on the Sola Percepta in Spectralite, I dare you. Even my former -15s had problems.

I always had a hard time finding markings on any of the Seiko progressives.

I have had several patients that bought the Image and came back several weeks later complaining about the markings on the lenses. One lady was even able to see the add power "125" while she was wearing them! Other than that, they all said their vision was great!

Came out between the SNL and Adaptar. It had rather subtle markings in the shape of a square with rounded corners. Softer design than the SNL and the blank was full, not with a lip on the bottom like the SNL.

Note: Went to search for more info on it and guess what? The very first listing on Google is this post.

    Re: easy to find markings

In my opinion, the easiest markings to find are those on the Sola One HD and AO Easy HD. I could almost see those suckers from across the room!

If the lens companies go the way Seiko is going with theirs, it's going to start getting harder to see them. I dunno about other freeforms, but the Seiko lines done even have the add stamped onto them.

These Seiko blanks are pre-engraved so an Add would have to be laser engraved after surfacing.
