British optometrist considering moving to Quebec

I did'nt know how right I was.
A planned re-enactment of the Battle at the Plains of Abraham was just cancelled due to a a public outcry from many Quebec residents. There were threats made by French separatists, so, quoting safety concerns, the re-enactment was cancelled.

Would Jews re-enact Holocaust ?
Would French or Polish re-enact the Nazi invasion ?
Would Black people re-enact slavery ?

Don't forget it was a FEDERAL project (=English)
How arrogant and insensitive they are !

Like if German government give subventions to native German Jews to re-enact Holocaust...
Be serious !
Nobody re-enact a painful defeat !
Even more if it were almost a genocide !

What Canadians don't know is that English armies burned almost all french-canadians farms and harvesting just before winter, leaving them starving to death during winter. They almost raped all women they met during their progression to west countries.
It was just the beginning of almost 200 years of total educationnal, economical and legal domination.

Past is past, so these painful memories doesn't affect the way we consider english-speaking people actually. It would be stupid... But please, show us some respect ?
Don't give us reasons to hate you.

Can you write a refferal in french, can you call an opto and speak to him in french. All of your correspondance with commerce and gouverment is required to be in french and althought there is a strong english population in Montreal there are 90% more who are french.
