Which one of these computer lenses has the better distance vision? I haven't found much info here on the Varilux computer lens. I was wondering if there was any feedback on it?

Generally a computer lens doesn't have distance or has very little distance. As I said in another thread I love the Shamir Office for computer and even my Essilor rep told me to stay with that and don't bother with their lens.

For sure, Shamir.
Shamir is hard to get in Canada due to its exclusivity deal with Luxottica.
i always thought that computer lenses didn't really have any good distance vision. but i recently received a varilux computer pamphlet that specifically touts it as having usable distance vision.
i'm pretty surprised that your essilor rep told you to use the shamir lens!
The Shamir Office lens is great. I also like the Hoya Tact lens. There are 2 versions...the Tact EP 40 and the Tact EP 60. The EP 40 has 40% of the add power at the OC and the EP 60 has 60% of the add power at the OC. So, you can get a bit more usable distance with the EP 40. It is still not the full distance RX...I have not heard of a computer lens that does.
The Shamir office could possibly have a bit of distance depending on the size of the lens and how it is cut out. All of my frames are small and no distance, since I am 20/20-2 I just look over the top. For some though at the VERY top there can be a smidgen of distance they can tilt their head to see across the room a little farther. Nothing to drive in or use as regular dist. though.
And to clarify my earlier statement it was our lab rep who sugested I stay with the Shamir lens rather than use Verilux's computer lens. The lab is a recent Essilor purchase so he probably could get in trouble for saying that about their lens.
