Blue Jumper Will you give refunds for Sarah glasses ? .........................

Now that Sarah Palin will be out of the picture on the big plane, will you give refunds to the patients that wanted to look alike, now that they have changed their mind ? :hammer:

    Wink Not in this life . . . . !

We've sold 3 total, but I'm in a huge red state so I don't think they're going to come back. I may stash the sample in a few months and see what happens in 2012!

My guess is the Kawasakis will continue to sell as they did prior to Gov. Palin, which is not too quickly, but I don't expect them to be dead in the water.

Also, did anyone else catch that photo in Newsweek weeks ago of Treasury Secretary Paulson wearing his Kawasaki 631? Here's another good one:

    http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/20...3754618211.jpg

I've been showing people those as the "Paulson glasses" -- but it didn't have the same cachet. Maybe now things will be reversed? :D

Any rimless is just 3 pcs of metal...

What difference, really, does the manufacturer of them make?

    Its the shape...Its the shape!!!

I only purchased 2 frames in the shape (Guess), and they're still sitting there, collecting dust!

Good thing, they weren't the Kawasaki because they are pricey!

By then she will have had cataracts fixed and will need no more glasses than some readers from the fleamarket.

So customers will want the refund in 2012 :bbg:

Like she will be wearing the same glasses 4 years from now - I don't think so. And I can't believe people ordered them before the election with the thought that if she didn't win, they wouldn't want them! We only had one request and said we couldn't get them. :hammer:

We are getting Lightec frames in this week or next week so was glad to hear someone say they were having good luck with them.

We have done GREAT with the Kawasaki line

We ordered them in the midst of the SP madness and I didnt think they would sell in our demographic. Man I was SO wrong! We sold about 10 of the SP style and many many others from the line. We love the Kawasaki shapes and especially their unique temples choices and colors. We do not off refunds at all so we of course would not in this case either. The line has done amazing at our office.

We're still getting request for and selling them. Besides it's a three piece rimless you can put almost any size and shape you wan't to in them.

We still can't get rid of our one sample. Customers complaints:

$$$$$!!! You gotta be kidding me!!

    They're HOW much?

Aargh!! These temples pull my hair when I remove them!

    They look better on her.

Ooh! They make me look like a man!

I guess SHE can afford them!

    I hate these ear things.

I guess I've given it a shot, I'll send it back for credit.

    a ton

Johns, you say you have sold a ton of these glasses, so i assume you weigh each one and keep an ongoing record, so how many pairs of glasses does that make?

Haven't sold any and do have a men's style that looks very much like it. Women ask, try it on and say "oh no, not for me. Why does it look good on her?" Because she has a big head and big heads look good in this style. I wouldn't give a refund on them to anyone based on the election outcome anyway. Drill mounts will always have their fans. I'm not one of them, but I'll sell you whatever makes you happy.

I got a deal on a load of +6.00 CR-39 lenses last year, so (using my best salesmanship) I've been converting people into that Rx. They weigh about7 lbs a piece, so I guess I've sold 285, not including remakes for the non-adapt losers.

    seriously

We do alot with Silhouette drill mounts (only drill mounts we have). SP did bring alot of interest, but we haven't had a problem with "remorse" on the purchases. We really try to educate our patients before they invest in their new eyewear, especially since it's $$$.
I personally don't like her lens shape.
