    Chip,

    3 1/2 years ago my then 1 1/2 yr old son had to have open heart bypass to repair 2 holes in his heart. I was sooo scared... scared enough to not pray for him because it was admitting that it was out of my control... he's my boy and I will always fix things for him... but I couldn't fix this. I was a wreck just knowing I couldn't bring my self to pray to his and my creator our Father in heaven (forgive me God). He is now 5 and is in perfect health, playing sports, going to school and he loves The Lord.

    Our Father sits upon the mercy seat full of love for Her because he is Good and he will not leave her side... I will pray for her and you and your family. I have been there and know how scary it is. I don't know her circumstances but would like to know the time of day that she will be going into surgery so I can stop and go to my knees for her.

    I was either confused or miss-informed.

    I appreciate and am deeply moved by your love and generosity. Also proud to learn that so many Optiboarders believe in God. I had come to think we might be mostly un-believers, or "worshipers of the goddess", or something.
    Now today I had a terrible experience, I had to go to the same hospital, same surgical suite to take an impression of an infants ptsical eye. My case was scheduled at 7:30, my grandaughter's case at 10:00. Due to a beaurocratic snafu, My case was delayed until 9:30 A.M. Having time to kill I went in search of my grandaughter. Immagine my dismay when I couldn't find any place or any one in the hospital that had Sara scheduled. I couldn't find any member of my family that was answering the telephone.
    Finally at mid-afternoon another grandaughter called and let me know that that the surgery was scheduled for next Wednesday! I guess I am relieved and apprehensive at the same time now.

    She is 16. Beautiful and a Senior, great singer and actress.
    And we have the time and date appearently still needing clarification, her 22 year old sister tells me the correct time is a week from Thursday, at 11:00 A.M.
