A new thread to post Shamir's Autograph and Succeed comments.
I've been doing a lot of Shamir Autographs lately with great success.
I'm starting to do some Succeeds for a less costly alternative free form custom designed and will post as I get feedback.
Another thread has several of my comments about Auto's but this one will take over from now on. Feel free to add your experiences.
My first failure came last week.
Antisometrope
+3.25 -3.50 x126 2^ up
-5.25 -.75 x180 2^down add +2.25ou
Was in a now discontinued Rodenstock multigressiv 2 1.52 colormatic 24/23 high.
Changed to Autograph Variable CR-39 transition 22/21 high.
"My intermediate is very narrow. I can't find the sweet spot for the computer at work like my old pair" Only rx change was a .25 increase in cyl in OS.
Re-do to a Rodenstock Myview CR-39. "Better but still not as good as the old pair"
I can't help but wonder if I had used a fixed instead of variable would I have had a better outcome.
Thank goodness for VSP's redo policy.;) (sorry labs)
New patient- Rodenstock xs 1.6 to Auto variable moderate myope--"More comfortable- distance is nice and clear"
Our receptionist-- sv intermediate to Shamir Office "Wow. Excellant!"
Our office manager--mild myope Rodenstock 2C into Auto 2 Variable--"Wow smoother edges."
