    Physio 360 seg ht

I have a physio 360 job that just came back from our lab. As I was checking it in, I found that the seg ht which should have been 19 is only 17. Now when I get these progressives in, the markings are not left on the lenses, so I have to use the Progressive Lens Identifier book to mark the lenses to check PD and seg ht. And measuring from the '+' the seg is only measuring 17. The lowest seg for this lens is 17, and even at that most of the reading area is cut off. Is the Prog Lens ID'er book accurate enough in it's diagram to make this call and send it back.

If the height is not right then the job is wrong and should NEVER be sent out to the patient.

As for the frame ID book, it is accurate.

Physio's are like most all Essilor PAL's, fitting cross is 4 mm above the 180 marks. And you should tell your lab to start getting it right or you will take your work elsewhere. 2mm off on fitting placement is way too much to tolerate ( you or the patient).

The Progressive Identifer IS NOT accurate!

Read the inside cover! It is not to scale!!!!!

Go to the source, or use the famous LensGuru!

    www.thelensguru.com

You can print out the correct identifier/cut-out chart!

If you were marking the lenses you recieved, using the wrong picture (many are set to 2 above in the OLA doc) then the markings were wrong and the seg was actually 19. Physio "cross" is 4 above the micro engravings.

I thought the Progressive Identifier Chart just included handy schematics to visualize the dimensions, not cut-out charts. A PD rule is necessary to be sure.

    Exactly!

My point was that it IS NOT able to be used for accurate measurements!

The cut out charts are available at:

Leighlee- PM me with your fax. I have a company's price list that may create a win-win for future digital free forms for your office.

    RE: Progressive Height

You may want to verify with your lab where they take the measurment from, some do it from the bottom of the lens others from the bottom of the frame (* VSP measurements are still officially from the bottom of the frame).

    That could be the issue...

A quick call to Essilor (or your rep) will also provide you with the proper fitting chart(s). I seem to recall hearing somewhere that you may also be able to print them from their website, though I have mine here already and haven't looked to be absolutely sure.
