Did I damage my lensometer? Please help.

Ok, so I cleaned the built-up ink from the tips of the marking pins on my lensometer.. just used paper towels. Now, the tips won't pick up ink from the well. Now I'm thinking that maybe there were some kind of special points on the tips that helped to pick up ink and that I somehow broke them off. Please advise. Thanks!:hammer:

Take the tips out and clean them real good, they are probably sticking and not going into the ink all of the way. Add some ink too.

    Arrow tips

all of that gunk/lint on the end of the tips helped pick up the blob of ink to dot your lenses. Eventually you will get that back with a lot of dotting of your lenses. I think it comes from fibers within the ink well.
