    Funky Canadian Kids Lines

Since we have recently acquired some younger DR's we are interested in recreating our kids section which at the moment totally sucks to say the least. Traditionally we have not had many children in the store but the climate is changing and we are looking for something that pops. Any recommendations?

Looking specifically for Canadian dealers? There's a small company out of Alberta called Venus eye Design. Their QT Pie line is decent. They don't have any reps, but they sent us their entire line in a package, told us to keep what we wanted, and send us back what we didn't.

That's funny. I thought Mike was rep for Venus (of course, he's the owner too). I second that recommendation though. Venus has some really nice stuff.

Depending on how funky you want to go...we've ordered in frames from the Lafont Kids line in the past. Same great Lafont look in smaller sizes.

    Kids frames

Bratz or Spiderman from Optiq might work for you. The rep in Winnipeg is Ken Kyliuk...hope this helps! Yes, I really like the Lafont product too...pricey but very good and the rep is a good guy as well, if it is still Dave Rhandawa.

I would suggest you checking into South Winterpeg Eye Care. They have a high percent of kids, so it will give you some ideas.

We have traditionally had a low percentage of kids but now we have some younger Docs (one of them is also a vision therapist). More kids. South Winnipeg Centre eh? Is that down Pembina? To be honest it's not a name I can remember hearing often.

    Don,

Dave's still around. Great guy. I always enjoy seeing him (unlike some reps). And we always love the chocolate and Bailey's he brings by at Christmastime! :bbg:

It is one of the more popular places in Winterpeg. It is down, I forget the street name. You got St. Vital Mall and there is the street that is behind it (with the Bad *** Jacks and 20/20 Vision). Dakota? Keep going down toward the left side.
