I just pulled the fax that says Humana has "aquired" Comp Benefits/Vision Care Plan. Anyone know how far reaching this will be?

Vision Care Plan was built on the backs of providers in Florida with lots of promises made to docs. Sold to CompBenefits, now sold to Humana.
They are starting to move into all states in which Humana is sold.
It's a plan that looks good to the employer and the employee and is sold at a competitive price. Providers hate it not as much as Davis/Spectera, but still hate it.
Thanks for the update. I will have to keep my eye out for it.
We see a few CompBenefits patients, maybe 1 every 2 months. I'm glad it's no more than that because we either break even or lose money on the eyeglass end (I understand the exam reimbursement isn't so great either). I hope Humana's acquisition doesn't mean we see more of it . . .
