Frame Donation

Hello everyone,
I am curious...if I have some overstock frames (new, good quality, just not fashionable!)want to donate, what would be a good place?
Or is there any organization purchase frames at really low cost and don't care about the style?

Hey Alice,

You might want to contact your local Lions club. The Lions recycle glasses for sight missions all over the world. Often when they cannot find the right pair, or when someone from the states needs glasses the individual clubs help pay for the glasses.

Maybe the clubs in your area could use the frames to help offset their costs?

I do a lot of charity work for local orginazations and can alwys use frames, lenses, and equipment.

You could also try a Detari frame rep. They take your old frames in trade for theirs (not dollar-to-dollar).

Check with RAM "Remote area medical". They go all over the US with mobile edgers to do mission work. Sorry don't have a web address.

Check with your local club. Mine only wants frames with lenses, no missing temples. Ready to go on someones face.
