    Question Dive Mask Clip-on

At one time, back when, & in the days. There was some company that made a clip and frame front for a full face plate dive mask. The clip was glued to the face plate and the frame front snaped off and on of that clip. It came both goggle shape and square shape if I remember correctly. Who knows where I may find one. Have a patient that has a full face plate that would like to have a clip for it. Cant seem to talk her into leting me lamenat lenses to the inside of her face plate. Thanks for the input. ccgforeyes@yahoo.com:idea:

    You might try. . .

www.seavisionusa.com . I think they either had them or helped us find some. I don't remember anymore.

    Good luck to you!

I might still have one in my old junk drawer. I'll look tomorrow.

    re: diving clip-on lens adapter

I think you're talking about Scuba Specs. There used to be a product listed in Frames data which consisted of an anchor piece which was stuck on with silicone adhesive and a lens adapter which snapped onto the anchor piece.

I think I have a couple in my lab.

    Hilco carries one.

CLs in a dive mask are not good if you're a "wet mask" diver - some people always get some water in their masks!

Iv'e done many dives with both specs and contacts, and contacts, at least for me, are far superior. Some water does get in the mask, but should have no effect on contact lens wear. A fully flooded mask may be a different story, but is, hopefully, a very rare occurance. Stock lenses for myopia that mount right into a mask are a good choice for some as well.
Keep in mind, monovision is a huge benefit for presbyopic divers, since they need to see a set of instruments clearly.

** Ask for Linda and tell her Austin told you to call, she might be able to help you out.

No, I don't work for these companies, just aware of their products.
