How to adjust coating spray on UltraOptics Mini-II?

We bought a reconditioned UltraOptics Mini-II recently and the coating nozzle doesn't seem to spray high enough for high curve jobs sometimes.

Is there a way to adjust the pressure going to the coating solution so it will more effectively coat my high curve/minus power jobs without having to lower the spin motor housing down too far and risk hitting the lens on the spray heads?

Hi Steve,

There may be two reason for the height not being correct. One is the filter may be blocked, which would result in a lower flow. If you have changed this then you can try adjusting the flow.

If you open the front cover (by unscrewing the two black knobs), you will see a board which has a resistor on it. The name next to the resistor is RSV1. It is a small blue box with a plastic screwhead inside, which you can turn up or down to adjust your height. Be careful that you do not damage the srcewhead by fiddling with this too much (don't let the operators know or alse they will be adjusting till the cows come home, which may mask other issues.)

Perfect - exactly what I needed. I had an 8 base -2.00 -1.25 x 180 polycarb wrap frame to coat today and it wouldn't hit the center because of the -8.37 base on the backside of the lens.
