    Question for Bobie

    Hi Bobie,

    A question for you:

When you run a PAL through your Rotlex System to get the topography; do you put one lens through, or multiple lenses and take the average? If so, how many?

    Much appreciated,

    : )

    Laurie

    (thinking),

Judge: "But how did you get the contour plots"

Marisa Tomei: "Your Honah, I used the Roxlex Class One System, 3,600 points of light, and drop-dead acc-u-rate" (while stomping foot and chewing gum).

the cheapest free form PALs is much better than the best semi-finished PALs

    Hi , Laurie

For the hi-end PALs ,we put only 3 lenses to take the average and the result was nearly the same , because the cost of hi-end PALs is very high and normally we order only 3 sets to make hi-end trial PALs set to use in Advance Progressive Addition Lenses Club.

For the conventional PALs , we put 20 lenses to take the average and the most result on each lens was a big difference. ( These are why I dare to say , the cheapest free form PALs is much better than the best semi-finished PALs and the funny thing is we have many free form PALs that are much cheaper than many brandname semi-finished PALs from big companies like Panamic.)

On the semi finished lenses, our country has a standard that allows a 1.00D of wrapage so that seems to be inline with the measurements your getting.

Actually I can picture you saying that while stomping your foot and chewing gum! :D My wife and I enjoyed the seminars you gave here in Texas.

    Hi Bobie,

Thanks so much for your information...I agree with you whole-heartedly. Let's get everything on the back surface, and go back to analyzing design variances at that point.

    Framebender,

Ha! I adore that movie. Too bad you, your wife and I couldn't have gotten together during the meeting...maybe next time

    : )
