    Prodesign vs Kliik & Fysh

We are wanting to add a new line and are considerong one of the above. Are they similar in price? (retail) Anything that makes one better than the other? Does ProDesign have local reps?

    Prodesign, Kliik, Fysh

Prodesign is an extremely high quality product that comes with the price tag.

Kliik and Fysh are well priced, but you need to be careful with the finishes on the products. For ex: you won't want to put too much curve on an eyewire - the paint will buckle and chip, so using aspherics may be required.

They are very similar in appearance, but the prodesign actually feels better on - but like I said earlier - you pay for it.

Prodesign has a very wide range of prices points and selection. I have always had good service from them, even before a good friend of mine became a rep with them.

We recently took in ProDesign. It sells very well even with the moderate-to-high price-point. The quality is excellent from what I can tell so far. They do have local reps who will bring the line around. Warning: there are MANY styles, and many of them overlap -- slightly modified eyewire, different color treatments, etc. Be prepared to be overwhelmed the first time!

I love the styling of Pro Design, but does anyone else notice on the hand painted frames the paint job doesn't look that great. IE non straight edges, inconsistent opacity in the coloring??

We do well with the current lines from Fysh and Kliik. Is the prodesign stuff made in China?

ProDesign is a lower end line in our office but sells well. The quality is outstanding. My wife and myself have worn it almost exclusively for years (until I upgraded to Chrome Hearts this year).

Kliik and Fysh do very well in our office. We've carried it for almost 2 years, previous poster was correct, for the first couple of months we had problems with paint chipping but no more. The price point is good. I had considered Prodesign but am happy with my decision.

We carry the kliik/fysh. Pricepoint wise, it's very middle ground for our office, but also one of our best sellers. They're starting to come out with some very interesting 3D temple designs, using metal work instead of paint. Neat stuff.

    Kleek, not Click

Everyone associated with the manufacturer says "Click", but a Danish patient of ours straightened us out: Kliik is pronounced "Kleek", or should be.
Fysh, being British, is pronounced "Fysh": one is reminded of GBS's "ghoti", which is also pronounced "fish".

We have kliik and Fysh where I work. they certainly have that Danish/Euro look as do the ProDesign.
I think ProDesign might me a notch higher in quality and price.

Now what about Kaoli compared ProDesign and Kliik? I love our rep that carries Koali and would like to keep it with her. But I want to make sure that the product is worth it. It has a lot of color like the other two and I like the designs. Any thoughts?

Koali does only ok for me. Fysh way out sells it. Watch out for the designs with rivets along the temples. 9 out of 10 times you'll need to bend the temple at one of these rivets which tend to want to crack the plastic area around it.

Koali has been a dead fish for us.

Koali does really well here. So does OGA. As I type this I'm wearing my new OGAs' with BUBINGA temples. That's right! BUBINGA!

I only posted this so I could type BUBINGA!

say it back to yourself. You can't be in a sour mood when you say BUBINGA!

    Koali

Koali has been a great seller for us in our new office with very unique color combinations and temple designs. They seem to especially appeal to more mature women who want a splash of color and fun, but do no want to go as far as Lafont goes.

With Koali, I have had a problem with the nosepiece paint chipping when adjusting. Is that a common problem with frames that are painted colors like royal blue? Is there some trick to using the nosepiece pliers without chipping paint (I tried my fingers first but couldn't quite get it the way I wanted it).

Kliik has done pretty well, we have not brought in Fysh yet, but my optician loves some of the styles. No info on Prodesign.

    Danish Product

Well I only thing I can tell you is that Pro Design is Danish designed product and Klikk is Canadian designed product made to look like it is Danish designed product. Both are manufactured in China but I would say Pro Design is of much better quality.

Would you happen to have any idea when production for Prodesign moved from Denmark to China? I've always been of the impression that they were either made in Denmark or Japan.

We have mykitas in our office and we know for sure that they are made in Germany. We are thinking of adding Prodesign to our range but have been told about inconsistencies in the quality recently. Also, we don't want our staff to misrepresent to our customers the place of manufacture.

So is ProDesign China made or not. I'm trying to find some non-China product.

The stuff I have I believe is either Denmark or Japan, but I'll look tomorrow for sure.
