Exclamation XXX The Dirty Frame Name By Chrome Hearts! XXX

    The following post is a reprint from a local magazine. It highlights the recent names used by Chrome Hearts to name the frames. This is what happens when 2 rich, old men sit around in California and try to amuse themselves. This is not for the meak and mild;

They had a old model called "freedom" with F*** Off! written in gothic font on the side.

I do love the collection ( I wear a pair of Red Riots and the Dollz Rx frame) but the new naming convention is getting a little much. Try explaining to a client what Taint means.

Heck, I use worse names with some frames while in the lab!

Funny how I will recall those same names when a patient wearing one walks in...." Oh %#@*! Here come that *#%^@#+% frame again!!

    Sex Doesn't Sell

Shocking names can work, but that is going overboard. These names willl never work. You can tell when a product is the same old boring, uncreative stuff - they use sex to try and sell them!

Check out this other ridiculous attempt at getting attention.

I would have so much fun calling that in.

"what colors do the Taints come in?"
    "We need more Hot Tools"
"What sizes does Herass come in?"

The frames are exceptionally expensive…and sell like hot cakes here in our office. I think we sold like 4 or 5 pairs last week, with an average MSRP of $900 that ain’t too shabby

And they are pretty beautiful designs. Leather, wood, gothic pewtering. Nice stuff.

They don't use the model names in any of their advertising and their advertising is really "sexy" (anyone remember the Jai Kudo catalog from a couple years back). Chrome Hearts hook is their, they don't give a f*** rock and roll, Hollywood attitude. Doesn't work for everyone, but we have a hard time keeping them in stock, even at $1000 + a pop.

What colour? We sold out of those pretty quick, it was even nominated for a Silmo award.

I'm looking forward to some of the diamond stuff.

I love them. I get soooo many compliments on them…even when I’m not at work. If I have a gripe, it is that the glasses really are fashion items only…I can’t wear my Chrome Hearts to Disneyland, for example. Being hot and sweaty with leather temples isn’t such a great idea.

I wore them to the Dodger game oN Friday and was a little anxious when it started to rain.

A frame for $1000+ that you can't wear in the rain?

    Now that's a great investment...:hammer:

Honestly, I don’t know if I can or not, but with it costing as much as it did (even at an employee discount), I don’t really want to risk it, if you know what I mean.

The frames may sell like hot cakes and they may be beautiful, but regardless, the names will never become strong brands.

But, how many people, outside of the “industry” know frame models by their names? People don’t ask for the model, they ask for the brand. And we do have LOTS of people coming in looking for Chrome Hearts.

    Taint

I can see Chris telling us to use a toothbrush and warm water to clean it up real well.

What's the retail $ on that Taint? That's a sharp looking frame
