    Chances are the lab accounts for decentration however a good rule of thumb is for every 1mm of decentration subtract 2o from the frames face form angle and this gives you the lens angle.

    parabolic face form meaning

    Hey Guys,

    What is the meaning of Parabolic curve or positive face form...I know its a curve on the frame and another thing what in the world is frame filing..I have talked to opticians that have been Opticians for 20 plus years and no one seems to understand

    I'm not sure what you are getting at exactly in your statement, but part of the premise behind aspheric and atoric lens design is to account for the fact that our eyes do not track in parabolic curves.
