Nidek Ce-1 Lens Blocker

I have an old Nidek CE-1 manual blocker that we use with our back up Santinelli edger. Recently I have noticed that its not properly aligned (seems to be about 2cm to the right of dead center).

Does anyone out there have any idea how I could go about getting this thing properly aligned again (or better yet, a scan or online copy of the manual that comes with it)...Its not that I cant make it work...but I would rather avoid the P.I.T.A. of it not being spot on.

Ours was off by about 1.5 mm at one point. You just loosen up one or two set screws at the base of the arm that holds the block and then rotate it in the direction you need to and then re-tighten them.

Test it by putting a fine point Sharpie dot on a lens and lay the lens out on center and block it. Look through the hole in your block to make sure the dot is perfectly centered.

Just don't mess with the set screw that holds the ball bearing that keeps the block held in the blocker until you block the lens.

BTW, you can replace the bulb in the CE-1 with a brighter bulb for much better blockability. Part #OP2109 at www.bulbman.com.
