    Help! (Eyefinity Officemate interface)

Anyone mastered the arcane science of getting the officemate VSP interface actually working? Please post or PM me so I can get some help! I have spent many hours working on it and still have trouble.

    Thanks!

PS Isn't there some sort of Officemate message board?

    Oh no.

Our office is thinking of going with OfficeMate. Just what I need....more problems to deal with.

    Good luck, Doc!!!!

    Om

    Bob,

I am actually very happy with OM so far, it is just the inevitible issues of learning how to setup and configure everything. We purchased the optional VSP interface, which eliminates the need to double enter lots of information in OM and Eyefinity. It is a real time saver, and the software error checks the Rx order and the claim before you send it to them, which should greatly reduce problems.

However, you have to be VERY VERY careful about how to set up your products (especially lenses and lens treatments) in OM to make it work right.

If you don't take VSP, I find the Rx order interface to be awesome and very easy to use. If you do take VSP and are going to purchase the VSP interface, PM me when you get ready to do the setup and I will help you avoid the mistakes I made.

Yesterday was the first day that I feel like we really got comfortable using the VSP interface and my optician was mentioning how she can see that it will be an awesome time saver once we get truly comfortable with it.

I should also mention the nicely integrated VisionWeb interface if you use that for ordering your contacts, frames or jobs.
