Barry-I'll be attending your lecture in Burlingame 5/29, and am looking forward to meeting you - can you tell me what time your talk begins? I don't want to waste all night on pap like the Transitions dog-and-pony fluff-fest

Unless you know EVERYTHING that's kind of a cheap shot at Transitions isn't it? Since you didn't know the time of Mr Santini's presentation, we can easily deduce you don't know EVERYTHING! I for one, have never failed to learn something from even a mundane presentation, and Transition presentations are anything BUT mundane. I am positive you could have PM'd Mr Santini to get that information so the only reason I can think of for your post is to make Transitions look bad. You have only succeeded in making yourself look bad.

hcj-if I offended you, I'm sorry-My screed wasn't directed toward the Transitions product, but addressed the fact that I traveled a ways to learn more about it, and waited through a magic show, a comedian, and lots of (electronically boosted) opportuning from the stage about my level of vocal enthusiasm, followed by a brief video which said little. I was there to learn, 'cuz I DON'T know everything, but I left knowing little more than when I started.
It wasn't so much that you offended me, it was more the tone and the verbiage. I am sure a lot of time and effort went into the Tranisitions presentation. Transitions has been a valued supporter of Optiboard for many years and I think they deserved better than that from a member. I think your analogy was out of character.Perhaps I was too strong in my last post and for that I apologize. No harm done.....Transitions survives!
PS I think if you PM'd Jim Schafer you could get your critique to the right person. You can find him in the Transitions forum and he'll be interested to know what worked and what didn't work in the presentation. He's a good guy and always willing to listen and to help. Again my apology.

Yes, I should have been less strident - I today received notice of Barry Santini's presence at a seminar/party for Vision-Ease - I want to hear him, but skip the party - Perhaps I should have IM'ed him, or texted, or something but I don't how to do those things - I thought this was the quick and simple way - I still do regret that these affairs are no longer for imparting knowledge, but raving up the crowd. (By the way, the Transitions party had great food!)
Just wait! I hear Barry bites the head off a bat at the conclusion of the seminar!:D
Well...gee...guys..., I really don't know what to say...
but I *am* gonna bite someone's head off!
Kidding aside...the cocktail hour starts @ 6PM. Why not come then and we can all get acquainted?
Dinner begins @ 7 :15PM, and the 1 hour CE is at 7:30 (somewhat during dinner). Then there's a raffle of door prizes.
Come and put me on the spot!!!!
Thanks for your interest. I think the program's message is an important one!
