    ncle question

    How important is it to memorize the veins and orbital arteries for the test, and how does this apply to fitting contact lenses?

    Central retinal artery
    Posterior ethmoidal artery
    Short posterior ciliary artery
    Anterior ethmoidal artery
    Superior nasal artery
    Supratrochlear artery
    Medial palpebral artery
    Superior orbital artery
    Lateral palpebral artery
    Long posterior ciliary artery
    Lacrimal artery
    Ophthalmic artery


    Orbital veins
    Facial vein
    Vorticose vein
    Supraorbital vein
    Superior ophthalmic vein
    Inferior ophthalmic vein

    Been forever (like 40+yrs) since I took the test. Don't remember any of this on the test. As to importance, they are totally unimportant except when fitting true molded to the eye scleral lenses where veinous impingment can be a real problem..

    Important to know, yes everything about the trade is important to know. On the test, NO NO NO.
