It's being used to create Atoric curves on SV lenses. Freeform equipment can also do the standard toric sufacing like any other surfacing system.

Nikon Seemax comes in SV. I think Hoya's coming out with a FF SV soon (or maybe it's out already just not in Canada, can't quite remember).

Didn't the seemax come in SV FIRST? I remember going to a Nikon seminar a couple years back on the Seemax SV, but we just started hearing about the PAL a couple months back.

    Shamir

Shamir is definitly coming out with one called the Attitude SV and Smart SV (those may not be the names they use in the usa, not sure).

    See it here

Of course many on this board feel that the SV from Ophthonix is nothing more than a digital surface SV atoric in 1.60.

It did indeed. I'm a big fan of the lens personally.

    HOYA's got one now:
    Called the Nulux ep
1.67 and 1.70 - all with Super HiVision AR
    +10.00 to -15.00 / 4.00 cyl (total power)

(1.60 is also available in Canada - it does not meet impact standards in the USA)

The important additional distinction with Hoya Nulux EP is this lens is TWO Sided Freeform, not just one (the rear)

That sounds good for some high Rx's. I thought (hoped) that free form could do a lot more...how about handling a -23.00 or stronger!

Unfortunately, free-form does not help those who need it the most. But that's usually the case. Try to get a Super Modular in any kind of higher index, or a blended myodisk.
