Cadillac Lenses - Vision Expo East

Our company will be launching the Cadillac brand of lenses at Vision Expo East. Our booth numbers are
    2026 and 2126.

The Cadillac Brand Stock Lenses are available in the following designs:

    1) Spheric
    2) Aspheric
    3) Atoric

The available coatings are in traditional AR coating and the Titan Coating with TractionGuard (Super AR coating with a non-slip shield coating for edging).

The official website is awaiting approval by Cadillac Motors and will be released soon. Intrepid internet sleuths can likely use their skills to find the actual site. All the specifications regarding the lenses can be found there. If you would like more information you are welcome to visit our booth for a demonstration. We have a computer demonstration showing the technology of the Cadillac Lenses as well as the technology.

Cadillac Lenses offers Surfaced Progressive Lenses, bifocals and single vision lenses and will release the Cadillac Free Form Lenses in May 2008.

Please Note: Cadillac Lenses will be sold by exclusive distributors in each country or territory.

    Eric Rubinfeld (aka DocInChina)
Boss Optical Lens Company HK is the exclusive distributor of Cadillac Lenses

If I may pose a question from the Motor City. Why on earth would someone name a lens after a car? The frame lines named after cars bombed didn't they? At least they did around here since they were made in the far east and that was a sore spot with the guys. Just curious.

some of the shoe lines worked for frames though, lol ie: hushpuppies, nine west, addias, nike, reebok etc: I remember when the first shoe line that I knew of put their names on frames, I wondered why people would relate to their names for eyeglass frames. I can see where people would relate good cameras, or camera lenses to eyeglass lenses, ie: hoya, pentax, kodak, but one of the first I remember that got payed for using their name for eyeglass lenses was a watch company, seiko.

Cadillac brand is one of the top 10 recognizable, respected brand names. It has immediate consumer awareness. Coupled with Cadillac Automobiles enormous international advertising budget the lenses do not require an advertising program that other multinational brands have which they pass on to the 3 O's in the form of lens costs. The Cadillac Brand lenses offer a full range of product from simple spheric designs to atoric designs in 1.61, 1.67, 1.74 and polycarbonate. The Cadillac Brand lenses offer a super AR coating with a temporary non-slip film (TractionGuard) to prevent slipping during the edging process.

In short, what do the Cadillac Brand lenses offer to you:

    1) Sophisticated designs and coatings
    2) Famous branding
    3) Lower costs as compared to other brands

It is not ironic. Before I was a manufacturer I was an OD (20+ years). I understand what the 3 O's need as far as quality, design, branding and pricing. The purpose of the Cadillac brand lenses is to meet and exceed those needs. If you are at Vision Expo East come by the booth and see the product for yourself.

Not to knock your efforts which I applaude. But think of successive generations, Jaguar, Mercedes, Ferrari, Rolls, Bentley, Lamborgini.

Chip, if you attend VEE come by and check out the samples. Successive generations will be behind Cadillac Lenses and I do not believe another new company can match the quality and product designs we are offering let alone be in the top 10 recognized brands in the world.

    Congratulations Cadillac Lenses.................

Congratulations doc..............you finally are ready to go for it. It is also worth mentioning that your lenses must be one of the few optical product made in China that will have their own brand and not being repackaged into some lens distributors envelopes. Good luck for the new venture.

Thanks Chris. I should mention that most of the lenses are made in Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

Still weird name for a lens. Do patients actually ask for SV lenses by name?
