    Cleaning cloths & bags

We are looking to purchase cleaning cloths and plastic bags with our logo printed on it. I found some cloths from AMCON that were pretty inexpensive and I was wondering if anyone has used them. Or does anyone have any suggestions on where to get the best bang for our buck on these items?

If you google microfiber AND "custom printing" you will find a few skabillion sources.

You can do it in a less expensive way by buying the cloths in the sleeves and slipping in your business cards. They are just the right size. We imprint on our generic cases only. But even that is an extravagence anymore. Recession in Michigan you know.

    RE: bags and clothes

Anyone have suggestions on nicer quality bags, more like you might expect to get at Nordstrom's, but sized correctly for eyewear and contacts. Custom printed with the logo too, of course ;)

Our plastic bags were custom designed for size and logo. It's a thicker, black plastic with silver writing. We wanted to have a higher end look, like what it sounds like you're after John. We went with a local company that specializes in bags rather than an optical supply company. (Sorry the photo kind of sucks; the bag's all wrinkled because this one happens to be my lunch bag.)

We also have paper bags for larger contact lens purchases. I'm not a big fan of the quality; they were done through our buying group, so they have CL ads on one side (with an AV2 logo of all things!).

As for cloths, I'm not sure I'd go with the business card idea. Cards get lost, and your logo on the cloth forces the patient/client to look at it every time they clean their glasses. We get ours from Ronor.

I have a catalog at work and I'll see if I can dig it up. It's all bags and yes you can get nice ones with your logo, any size, color and quality. Myself I prefer the paper ones with handles that stand on their own. You can get them with your logo or plain. Plastic just creates more landfill so I would rather not hand it out.

At one of the last places I worked at we got bags from:
    http://www.bagsandbowsonline.com

However to have the logo embossed on the bags was going to be costly on the amount we were ordering. If you find this is the case, here may be a little tip for you.

We ordered nice paper bags in Gold and Black. Then we had stickers made up with all of our info on it. We simply placed the stickers on one side of the bag.
Now this may seems a little "tacky", but the place was high end, and I assure you the bags looked great.

If you are gunning for a high end look, I would not use plastic. Plastic bags remind me of the ones you get from the grocery store. I do admit the bag that mlm posted looks great. I love the color combo of silver and black. But for myself, the plastic part just gets me.

If you want an example of really nice high end looking bags, go to Lenscrafters!!! LOL. They have really nice paper bags with ribbon handles. When the bags came in, we all figured out where our pay raise for the year went ;-) Besides bags, I also like the new receipt holders that LC uses. They now use what looks like a small envelope to hold receipts that are very reminiscent of what Tiffany & Co. use. Just a thought :)

I believe they only come out with a catalogue once a year. I am pretty sure that everything in the catalogue is also on their website. I may be wrong, but I do believe this is the case.

    Stickers

I just got some sample stickers from Arch-Crown and they look really nice with a cotton type look, so that would add the the higher end feel.

1-800- 645-7173. Ask for Amy Kowalski or Lynne Kelley. If they can't answer your questions, they'll put you in touch with someone who can. Its a GREAT company and the product can't be beat. If you PM me with your address I'll send you a couple of mine for you to evaluate....and No, I do not work for them......(anymore! I did back in the early 90's)
