dispensed a pair of lenses that was so technically advanced that the technician down at Pearle (who was problably selling garden tools at Wal-Mart last week) didn't know how to read it
and not BS'd your way deeper
It wouldn't be considered BS to say you have dispensed a pair of lenses so far advanced that other Opticians were not able to read them?

You are correct on your point about apologizing profusely. (Well, if someone had dropped almost a grand in my shop in one day, I probably would apologize profusely. I would whimper silently to myself if I had to give that person a refund. ;) ) Otherwise, it looks bad from a business standpoint to grovel.

After reading this post again I just have to wonder, why did she end up at another optical shop the very next day. Is it possible the eyewear had a bit of an accident and ended up out of adjustment? Pearl, prior to realigning them, probably asked if she had purchased them at their store. She told them she had gotten glasses there in the past but not that pair so they threw in a plug for themselves and looked like heros just for realigning a frame.

Do you guys really think that consumers don't read your comments about intentionally trying to deceive them? Seriously unethical!

I have sent a PM to 'bugeyes' asking about his status as an eyecare professional.
