    Wave Hello...

I just joined the forum here, and I thought I'd introduce myself.

I stumbled on this place while searching for a solution to a sports glass problem I am having.

I am an optician at a very small practice...one Ophthalmologist, one Optomotrist, the office manager, a secretary, and me...the Optician. The office started out as a pediatric opthalmology practice but has grown over the past ten years to become more inclusive of adults as well. Our demographic is still eighty percent kids...which I love, by the way.

After years of working with kids, I found myself in such a routine of single vision polycarb dispensing, that I have become rusty on issues such as...prism, new progressive technologies, etc. etc.

Hopefully, hanging out here with you guys will be a good influence on me! :)

    Hey Neighbor!!!

Welcome to Optiboard! Jump on in...the waters fine!

I am right down the road from you and know Reading well. The 3rd and Spruce Cafe has/had a great beer selection! Legacy Brewing...! The Doc's last name that you work for wouldn't happen to begin with an O would it?

If you ever want to get together to talk shops and splash our gullets with ale, let me know! We have a Doc(new member too) that works in Wyomissing a day a week. One of our resident Optical Gurus, Harry Chiling, is not too far away and may make the trip as well! He is always good for a beer or six!

    :cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

Doc's last name does indeed start with an "O"! Small world huh.

You wouldn't happen to be from somewhere in the Lancaster area would you?

I love Third and Spruce Cafe. Haven't been there in quite a while, but I used to a while back. My wife is an RN at the Reading Hospital and that is the place where employees love to hang out after their shift. I wouldn't mind meeting up with you and Mr. Chiling sometime to chat and drink.

...ten hours is a bit long to drive for a drink. :D

Nice to meet you anyway. I will be going right on past you at the end of the month when I go to Atlanta for the SECO show.

For now, the closest I'll get is going to "Carolina in my Mind" by JT.

I thought there was a party

Um, I'm at the third and spruce cafe right now. Where the H-E- double hockey sticks are you guys?
I'm on my fourth beer, and some guy keeps lookin kinda funny at me and blowing kisses my way. Is this a normal manly greeting in the US or should I start to worry?
