    Blue Jumper Super Bowl

Ah, the sound of champagne corks popping everywhere!

POP POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
    POP!! POP! POP!! POP!
    POP! POP!! POP!!

On the same field our beloved WVU Mountaineers who were given no chance to win the Fiesta Bowl, the Giants who were given no chance to win borrowed our mojo to defeat the nefarious Patsies, who even had the help of the announcers in trying to beat the Giants.

Where have you been all week?

I KNEW you people have been out there somewhere. I was looking to see how many of you were talking it up before the game. No Guts, No Glory you guys, you are really too late to start now! Congratulations to the Giants. The SECOND best wild card team to win a Super Bowl. :bbg:

Did the coach really walk out without congratulating the other team?

    From "YAHOO Sports"...

"...Not that the Patriots were very mighty this day. They even conceded with 1 second on the clock as coach Bill Belichick ran across the field to shake the hand of jubilant Giants coach Tom Coughlin, then headed to the locker room, ignoring the final kneeldown. "

He's a 1st class act! He thought the game was only 59 minutes and 59 seconds!

We invited the neighbors over last night- so I actually caught the game (regardless of who won- if you like defense that was some game).

Last night proved its all about being hot at the right time. Last year was not the best Colts team I've seen- but they got hot in the playoffs. The year before, the Steelers were mediocre during the season- but had a magical playoffs.

This year, the Patriots- from the first gun of the season right up till about a minute to go in last night's game- were consistently the best team throughout the entire year. The Giants just had a magical post-season (and just outplayed the Patriots last night).

As for Belichick, he did come over and give Coughlin a hug after the Patriots went 4 and out on their last possession (that's more than he did for Peyton when the Colts beat them last year). Then, before the game was over, he walked off the field to leave his defense to carry out the final play on their own. The man has proven he has no class so many times, I guess it doesn't matter what he does anymore. His whole world is winning, and he doesn't seem to care about anything- or anyone- else.

Its hard to pile on the Pats fans today, because I can imagine they thought it was a done deal when Brady throws that TD to Moss after the 2:00 warning. I think if I were a Pats fan (heaven forbid), I'd have to console myself with two thoughts: 1.) the Pats were the best team in history to NOT win a Superbowl, and 2.) sometimes you eat the bear- and sometimes the bear eats you (you beat the Rams a few years back with a gutsy performance- the Giants just did the same thing to you).

PS- At least Tom can go back to his supermodel for a back massage- I imagine he has to be smarting today (glad it wasn't Peyton down there getting abused).

With 0:01 left there were only 3-4 Patriots defensive players on the field. I think the Giants should have taken a quick snap, thrown a short out and scored. Now that would have been classy:bbg:. (I'm trying to be more scarcastic this year)

But they allowed the Pats to get a complete or almost complete defensive team on the field, and took the kneel.:hammer: Boneheads.

Only thing I had to say previous to the game was *. I think that still stands true. I admit that me and Tom Brady gravely underestimated the Giants. Shame on me and kudos to NY Giants!
