This prototype contact lens has been integrated with a miniature radio antenna, electronic control circuits and light-emitting diodes. Researchers are speculating that the technology could be developed into a platform that would support many innovations involving vision, starting with new kinds of information displays for aviation cockpit crews and highway drivers.

Huh, so they just skipped the spy-glasses all together, and went right to contacts. That'd be pretty neat. Robo-Cop vision... can't imagine they'd be very comfortable though.
