    Hi bhess25,
    The concept has been out there for quite a while but I do not know when a manufacturer will launch a product.

    Our core business is lenses and that is what we concentrate on.

    it just sounded cool to watch someones eyes go black when outside...if you have any info or a site i could read a little on them i would appreciate it.

    It's my understanding that the absorbtion depth required for transitions is much higher than the thickness of the contact. Not to mention it's probably not a safe thing to have in the eye.

    Now if they were to come up with a reverse action transition material (one that gets darker when it is darker, it sure would be a plus for artificial eye pupils as they would appear to get smaller in bright light and larger in poor light.
