Let me guess Doc what you think Crizal 4 will be?

    Maybe Scotchguard Crizal?

Seriously Essilor did license the name from 3M.

    I bet it will:

1.) Have a greater "Contact Angle" than anything on the market!(Where are we?-at like 113 degrees or some wacko figure?)
2.) Will be less likely to smudge and will be *easier* to clean.
3.) Will add approximately $xx.00 dollars to the already inflated prices?

I hope they extend any potential warranties to: Unlimited for four years!

Heck; My new hydrophobic is so good it does not even contact anything that touches it. It has electro magnetic receptors impregnated which combine with the field force in our new lens material to totally repel any material that gets within 8.76423 microns of the surface.

Fezz; If you have a few more beers and read this again it works even better. Oh, I forgot to metion the great new warranty: With any material that actually is verified by a representative of the receptor supplier, that touches the surface; FEZZ gets a free beer. NO THATS the warranty Fezz wants.

I remember you guys all saying this before Alize was introduced. Then everyone could not say enough good things once they tried it out.

I don't think I said anything before Alize came out. I have actually said since it has come out why Crizal with Alize was so successful. My earlier comment was for fun not for fact. About one out of 25 of my posts poke a little humor.

My comment related to marketing hype not product quality.

They mentioned your coating in the movie star wars, they call it the force.

PS - Lets all call in our warranties at the same time so Fezz gets sloshy.

    Blue Jumper Crizal 4................

    Crizal 4

Has military specs MIL45AK8-90 with built in night vision performance, will be perfectly slippery so that even spiders trying to climb the lens will fall off and can be stepped on.

I hope you're not serious.... or I'm guessing you don't run your own business.... but even if you don't.... the longer the unconditional warranty
.. the longer the consumer gets to be irresponsible with regard to their product. This means potentially an even longer time between purchases..

Bottom line... if your not selling... and only replacing for free you'll be on the street looking for empty pop cans to pay for your food
Oh ! Was I being too Critical ? :finger:

Ha ha. That's a good one! Maybe the marketing slogan will be "So slippery they cannot be edged. Guaranteed."

Sorry! I think we already have that one covered. Topit AR is sooo slippery that it is only available on edged lenses.

Scotchguard Crizal will probably be like Teflon right?? Name only but a fantastic marketing campaign.

They use the Scotchguard name here at the local LC.

    I just heard:

Crizal now with "scotchgard" name (obviously, The Crizal, Alize and Clear Gard monikers were not persuasive/appealing enough to the general public to reach intented sales goals).

I also heard that LC will *not* be using the Scotchgard name as much, as they desire to use their own-named product (not one licensed by Essilor).

Anyone want to license my name for any products that are C&T "BS"?

Fezz is just hoping this new product has a super warranty and with any warranty claim they'll send Fezz a beer.

Hopefully Pete will come over and share, if not I'll tell what I know, I just thought he could do a better job of it than me.

I heard the contact angle was going to be 180 degrees. Anything that touches it rotates into another dimension. You never need to clean your lenses. At least until the other dimension fills up.:D

actually your all wrong...there is no contact angle..there is no glare..and there is no coating color...how you might ask?...because the lenses are actualy coated with "anti matter"...the cleanest clearest lenses youll ever see (or not)...no glare because the light comming in gets eaten up by the anti matter...no need for a contact angle measurement, because anytime anything touches it, it just dissapears like majik...welcome to the future kids...hold on tight!!
