Hoya is always top notch on products, quality and service!! You get lost in the shuffle with Essilor.

Good choice. No company in the world is perfect. All I can say is my dealings with them have all been positive and I can't say the same for the others out there.

I use both of those very same labs at those locations. Hoya has better customer service in terms of communication and a faster turnaround time. VSI is a good lab. When we need an Essilor product that we cannot surface, we use them.

We use VSI of virginia, and Hoya of Hartford. Turn around for Hoya is crazy. It's not even the lab. They are using a messenger service that kill their credibility. 3 days to come from Ct to PA? I don't think so.
VSI of VA is amazing. I would recommend it to every one. But we are doing only Zeiss and Hoya. My advise: forget essilor!

My labs all provide a next day UPS or DHL shipping label. You don't get the same? Call Hoya and tell them the courier service is too slow and you want labels instead. Also tell them that if you can't go that route that most of your work will go elsewhere. That should do it.

Where in Pa are you? I'm thinking you must be in the backwoods of the Allegheny Mountains. Are you in Tionesta, West Hickory, or Cook Forest? I get my Hoya stuff overnight. I am in PA as well.

    same here

We have been using the Lewisville Tx. Hoya lab and I agree that there has been something going on in the last 6 months?

While I was posting this the AR department from Hoya call to let us know that we are past due on our account. Being auto pay by CC makes me wonder what is going on with Hoya? So here I go spending more of my time on things I shouldn't have to.

Do any Optiboarders have experience with a lab in Omaha named
    Rite-Style?
don't mean to be a thread jacker, sorry.

    Very interesting.

Seems like the AR department is also the credit/accounting department which is also customer (dis)service, which is the mailing room, which is also the management!!!!!

Now...back to your regularly scheduled thread!!

    just to follow up

After a few phone calls, and a few more to come. For whatever reason my work from the local hoya lab started showing up with its own statement,
so now I know. Not too big a deal.
I also don't want to be a basher, just another one of those things that make you go, hmmmmm.
So no one has any experience with George Lee and family at Rite-Style Optical?
I thought this thread was about Hoya vs VSI. Who took us off track? Something reeks of Yingling.
