what sites to purchase MP3s from

My ex got my daughter a Disney Mix Max MP3 player for Christmas. I don't know anything about what sites to get music from. does itunes only work with ipods? What else is out there? I believe napster is a subscription service, I'm just looking where I purchase individual songs.

    Thanks in advance.

The only devices that can auto sync with iTunes files is an iPod. The easiest and cheapest way I would think is to use itunes to purchase the songs that you want and then burn a CD from iTunes and then rip it into mp3 via Windows Media Player. The only reason i say cheapest is i believe you have to keep paying napster or your downloads will expire.

sounds like work, aren't there other sites that sell MP3s that aren't player specific?

Digital Rights Management. A technology which provides access control for digital media. Thats why its such a pain to get the songs you purchased on to more than one device.
