Denver Eye Center Wins Teflon®/Transitions® Grand Prize

Carl Zeiss Vision and Transitions® Optical have announced that Denver Eye Center in Golden, Colorado has won the grand prize in the “Search for Vision Island” promotion co-sponsored by the two companies.

“The Search for Vision Island”, which was launched in May, rewarded practices for dispensing Teflon® Clear Coat Lenses and Transitions® lenses. Eye care professionals received a gold “doubloon” sticker for every pair of Teflon® Clear Coat Lenses ordered from a participating lab. Orders that combined Teflon® Clear Coat Lenses and Transitions® lenses on the same pair earned two stickers. In addition to cash prizes, a drawing chose one winner of a $3,000 Caribbean vacation or cash equivalent.

Bernadette Hiskey, Carl Zeiss Vision’s Teflon® Brand Director, said that both Carl Zeiss Vision and Transitions Optical are pleased with the results of the promotion. “We got a very enthusiastic response from eye care professionals with this promotion. The combination of a premium performance AR coating, the leading photochromic technology, and the two strongest consumer brands in lenses is clearly a winner for a huge number of practices.”

Denver Eye Center learned of their prize in a surprise visit on November 27 by Carol Babcock and Brannen Hinton of Carl Zeiss Vision and Natasha Petakoff of Transitions Optical. In accepting the prize, Doug Wiedeman, Lab Manager, said “Transitions® lenses and Teflon® are an important part of our business and we like the combination of both products…we recommend the products to every patient.” Added Angie Willis, Office Manager, “We are so excited to be using Teflon® and Transitions® Lenses for our patient care.”
