    Bad luck frame line?

Just wondering if any of you have ever carried a frame line that seems to be cursed. I have recently ( last 6 months) taken in a new frame line. I have used it before at an old office, but not in about three years. It seems that every pair of glasses made in the brand comes back for a redo. It doesn't matter if it is SV,PALs,ARC, or Pol. Suns. I think there possesed.

Have any of you had this problem before?

Worst frame line I ever had was Adidas. They had this one drill mount that would snap all of the time. Worst thing, it would happen just as the patient was wearing them. It was not due to abuse, but the metal insertion point was too weak. We had to take every patient we put in it out, and put them in something else (at our cost). Yes, that included new lenses too. We lost some of those patients.

Funny thing is Adidas was still pushing this line two years later. Guess what company I will never trust again.

Very true! I regret the day I brought this line in. I think I have replaced every one that I sold at least 2 times. I keep a dozen full chasis around just to have quick replacements.

thats good stuff right there. But I'm not talking of broken or defective frames. A whole line that just never seems to go right.

Ahhh, c'mon, say it. OK, I will. Any safilo zyl. Lenses won't stay in, frames hold an adjustment for oh, say, to the door if your lucky. Or they break, and guess what? Retired after 5 months!

:finger: Have to say Airlock. Never had luck with them--either broke or never stayed together.

PeachTree frames by Capri. Nothing quite like having one eye wire be 2 mm larger than the other.

Guy bought two Fratelli Lozza Cardiff frame and lenses.

Next day drove off a bridge, killed him, crippled his girlfriend. She comes back in a wheelchair three years later, and says "nice place, wish I'd been here before". We didn't bother to correct her. She bought a Fratelli Lozza frame also.

Died of a seizure one month later.
