difference freeform

hy every body
can some one tell me what is the difference between a freeform progressive lens and a convensional progressive lens :idea: in use!!!!

We are currently having quite a discussion about this on this thread http://www.optiboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24739. Right now I do not think the industry can agree even on a definition of freeform!
