HELP!
A friend of mine came and want to order a pair Plano Red Photo chromic lenses (any material). I wonder where I can find a pair with reasonable $$ in US.
If you know please post or PM me. Thank you very much.

Sola used to have one. May still find a blank or two at some lab somewhere. I think they were called spritzers. No one bought them so they were discontinued.
They were called Splitz and the red one turned purple, I think.
Optisource has them in CR-39 (I think), but I'm not sure they are inexpensive. Nassua may have them, I have a vague memory. I can cast them from 1.54 material. All will be a fashion tint only, and won't be completely clear when unactivated. All these lenses are an en-masse technology (like sunsensors) and not a film or layer technology like transitions.
Found on Nassau catalog.
Photogenics 1.56 plano photochromic in grey, yellow, orange, blue, magenta, purple, red, green. 70mm scratch coated for the price of (about 2 movie tickets) per pair. Not yet verify with Nassau, but found them all on their online order list.
Thanks everybody!

WHAT ??? No brown or polka dot??
Rudy Project offers numerous photochromic lens (inlcuding red) colors in their ImpactX material (same material found in Apache helicopter windows). 1 inch of this stuff can stop a sniper bullet. Standard lens thickness can stop a double-ought shotgun blast from 25 feet. I tried it out after getting hold of a blank lens - didn't even indent the rear coating. Touch stuff. Pellets actually bounced back at me. Supposedly, the 2008 lines will allow Rx's in them up to -8 - + 5, depending on PD. Not cheap, but definitely worth the money.
Welcome to optiboard oscar! How long have you worked for Rudy Project?
