Can your patternless edger do this???

    Coming soon from V.S.I.

A patternless edging system that can cut a beveled lens smaller than a dime, at an unbelievable price.

There is no need to waste 20, 30 or even 40 thousand dollars on a patternless system that can cut small "B" measurements and drill lenses.
With our revolutionary finish lab package, You can cut any job, anytime, and make $$$ rather than payments.

    Call me for details.

I hate to speak for others I think he just meant details on the system not necessarily the price.

Now that I have your Attention......

Now that I have your Attention......:D

Let me give you a little history of our company. Vision Systems Inc. started out about 8 years ago primarily focused on patternless edgers. Over the years we have grown to have a very large ophthalmic division as well.

Our optical division decided a long time ago to recondition only the highest quality patternless edgers, so we can provide the best products for our customers. This practice also translates into the support we are able to provide our customers. Access to parts, service, and support are vital to our business.

Over the years we have put many hundreds of patternless edgers out in the field. Our focus has been Optronics, Briot, Essilor/Gerber and Santinelli/Nidek edgers. These edgers dominate the industry.

We are in a very unique position to be able to learn as much as we can about a particular edger by tearing them apart and reconditioning these edgers one part at a time. We have been able to identify substandard parts, and sometimes made slight design changes to make great edgers even better than they were originally manufactured.

Many years ago we reconditioned a Briot 5000 and made a few minor design changes to make it able to process poly lenses efficiently. This "poly upgrade" was extremely popular at the time.

After reconditioning hundreds of Santinelli 7070s and learning all the secrets you will never find written in a manual, We replaced all the head and quill bearings with top of the line sealed bearings which are now standard on all of our reconditioned edgers. These bearings will last twice as long as the original non sealed bearings.

We are always experimenting with edgers and always looking for ways to make them better. If you have ever visited us at the major trade shows you may remember this....

    THE 7070 HOTROD

This is an example of what can be done with a little imagination and some time on your hands.:D

Now I want to introduce OptiBoard guests and members to our latest innovation in patternless technology. With new edger prices rising every year, and small "B" sizes getting smaller every year. It has to stop somewhere.

The only thing these $40,000 dollar patternless edgers have to offer is integrated drilling, groovers, small "B" sizes, and safety bevels. The problem is when one of these functions fail, your whole edger is usually down, and repairs are always very costly. We want to provide our customers with a patternless system that can give our customers all of these modern features at a fraction of the cost.

    Here is the Answer

We have been experimenting with this idea for almost a year now. We have placed a couple of these prototypes out in the field with great success, and soon this feature will be standard on all of this model edger.
You can order this now by special request only. We will not advertise this feature anywhere except OptiBoard until it becomes standard on all of our systems very soon.

THE LE 7070 PACKAGE BY VISION SYSTEMS INC.

This retrofitted patternless edger can cut lenses smaller than a dime. The lenses at the top of this thread are beveled, polished and measure 15.25mm. With the entire package you can drill, groove, safety bevel, and cut the smallest frames in your inventory.

THE BEST PART OF THIS MODIFICATION.......

If you already purchased a 7070 edger from V.S.I., We will soon offer the retrofit aftermarket upgrade so you can have this dime sized lens feature on your edger. Parts installation is very easy and we will support your installation.

Now, why would anyone want to spend 20, 30, or even 40K to do the same job this system can do? I will never really know. Until someone invents an edger that can tint and mount the lenses, The LE7070 will always be my #1 edger of choice.

HAHA, Many people have requested that paint job. The photo does not do it justice. It is a deep candy apple red with chrome lettering, a chrome base and chrome feet. The glass screen also has chrome buttons.
I want to add led lights and maybe some dry ice for effect:D

We bring our hotrod to all the major shows. Its a real eye catcher.

I have to admit the paint work is certainly an eyecatcher! I would love one of those in my workshop! Not that I've ever had to do any edging that small - only thing I can think of would be for a rifle sight.
