    Help with Briot

My office bought a Briot Accura CL in January 2007. We have had three techs out working on the machine a total of nine times. the machine is just a lemon. Briot will take it back. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get Briot to buy back this lemon of an edger.

...I'm assuming you meant they will NOT take it back?

I don't know what to do other than ***** like crazy to the highest-up people you can get to on a daily basis (and I'm not kidding). I would think they would be willing to swap it out for a refurbished machine of same model.

If you buy something different in the long run, I've been quite happy with Vision Systems Inc (www.patternless.com). We got a great deal on a Santinelli with free lifetime support. We've had one issue and it was solved in reasonable fashion. And no, I don't work for them.

Call JAOPTRONICS in Clinton, MD (301)868-5316 http://www.jaoptronics.com/ family owned and if they can't fix it tie it to a chain and use it as a boat anchor.

I had a Briot a few years ago and after 18 months of hell; they bought it back. I got screwed because it was a lease and had made payments for 18 months on a piece of junk and still owed the leasing company money for an edger I no longer had.
They sent me 3 machines and the VP himself came out to fix it. It was not possible to fix, it was a bad, bad design.

Call Santinelli and solve your edging problems.
I have had mine for 3 years and would only buy another one from them.

Since I originally posted this back in October, we have been in contact with Danny at Briot. He has addressed the problem in a professional way. Briot has replaced the edger with a new machine. This edger has been operating smoothly.
