:(
I am no longer a practicing optician, but plan on retaining my licenses. Can I still post here to keep up on things? Or will I be ostracized, flogged and beaten?

You're going to do WHAT???? Stick around, we need you.
All the best in your new endeavor!!!!
What type of work are you leaving the field for?
Hope to still see you around though.
Nettie =
You rock! Please stick around! (and now I'm curious, what are you going to be doing?)
did I say it was bad?
I am now managing the Marketing dept. at Costco. I love it! And I can market our Optical department especially at all the health fairs. I am learning a lot of great new things and meeting new people, and the buliding I transferred to is 30 minutes closer to my house. I may still apply for Optical Manager if it ever opens up in this warehouse, and I have been able to go help them out a few times when they get super busy.
thanks for keeping me. I would be lost without y'all!!

On your new position, It's always great to try something new...
Best wishes
No need to worry this crowd strikes me more as a spanking and handcuff bunch.
Best of luck Nettie.
You'll be back. We all come back.
Hopefully your Eagles Mere trips will be more enjoyable since your not dealing with the wonderful public directly anymore!
:cheers::cheers::cheers:
4 birthdays a year? That's NOTHING!
Congrats to you too!
/good vibes on the board
Thanks for all your support. I really love it here!
My regional manager just informed me that I need to give a presentation to all the other Marketing Directors at the end of the month when I go to Seattle. She has always been a fan of Optical and wants us to feature it at all of our Marketing events. I am excited yet a little nervous. How does someone sum up 13 yaers of optical knowledge into simple terms that the average bear can understand and use to help sell potential customers on our Optical products? I gots my work cut out for me.
I don't have the stupid optical questions anymore (which i actually miss!) now I get tons of donation requests daily and the responses can get almost violent if I tell them I need requests 3 months in advance or I can't fit their request into my budget for the month. Then they say "WELL (previous marketing directoor) ALWAYS did this for us!!!!"
Fezz......Eagles Mere is always enjoyable.....except the inlaws are still there.:shiner:
