Nikon 1.67 w/ AR stock lenses?

I just ordered a pair of Nikon 1.67 with AR lenses. I was wondering what type of AR are on the stock lenses. Is it Crizal Alize or their own AR for Nikon? I just read a post that said the AR on Nikon are very slick. Does anyone know what type of AR is on the Nikon lenses?

Nikon has its own coating in Canada. It is called HCC (hard clear coat). There is also the availability of HCC ICE, which is the company's easy to clean version.

Essilor owns Nikon lenses, so why wouldn't they use their top AR Crizal Alize?

Why do they:
1.) Still sell the Adapter?
2.) Still sell the Panamic?
3.) Have various names for the "same" designs?
4.) Etc, etc, etc.....

I think Essilor owns certain rights, but unless I'm mistaken, they do not own Nikon lens.
BTW: the Nikon coating is better than Craze-all A-lie-say, anyway. Had a pair for 5 years without a scratch. Then I ran into a tree during a bike ride. I made it without a scratch, the lenses had one small one. Finally trashed 'em because they were way out of style.
Nikon uses Nikon because it's better.

I disagree. When ICE first came out, it came out months before Alize. We used it a lot then. Months later people came back saying the lens was no longer easy to clean. We switched them to Alize and they have been happy ever since.

I also had some crazing with Nikon.

It's in most Essilor owned labs price books under package lens deals. i.e. Opticraft, Duffens, ect.

What do those cost(PM me)? Are you talking about a stock lens? Have you tried Somo lenses?

Nikon lenses are great!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very surprised about how thin these lenses edged down. The AR on the Nikon is very slick and I would have to say they are even slicker than Crizal Alize.

both are better in one way or another

We have handled alot of both nikon ice and Crizal Alize lenses;to me, the ICe is more slipery which is good for the consumers but not so good for labs( quite a few of my accounts don't edge Ice at all after lenses edged off axis very often, so we got to do the dirty job, luckily we only got into trouble once, but Nikon is smartening up, they are applying that sticky coat for edging not too long ago, Essilor had it from the beginning). Alize is easy to process and yet slipery enough for protecting the lens.

The light transmistion on Crizal is better than NIkon HCC to the naked eye, I mean if you look at the lenses . Personally , I am wearing Crizal on airwear transition.
