    Confused upper eyelid ptosis exercises

Hello, hopefully someone can help, sorry if this is the wrong board but I can't post anywhere else!

I'm trying to develop exercises to help strengthen the levator palpebrae muscle in the upper eyelid, as a possible method to avoid surgery because i hate the thought of it. Does anyone know which type of gaze (an upward of downward one) would result in the greatest number of motor units recruited during a contraction of the levator palpebrae muscle?

    Thanks!

Surgery is best but make very sure whomever does it is very good at it, I have seen many messes done. Am having bilateral lid surgery on the 23rd myself.
If you really want to avoid surgery, find yourself a real optician and have him make a ptosis crutch for your eyeglasses.
Exercises for this are a waste of time.
One other alternative which is rarely used today due to lack of skilled people is a scleral lens with a ptosis crutch.

Yes, I have a customer whose surgery was botched somewhat. Now, though she looks ok while awake, she has dry eye problems now because she cannot fully close one eyelid.
