    LE 7070 edger parts

    Hi

I am looking for some spare parts for Nidek/Santinelli LE7070 edger...

    2 lids for lens chamber

    8 rubber feet.

Any idea where I might obtain these?

    Need shipping to UK.

    Cheers

    Hi
Resurected this thread cos didnt want to make another about the 7070
Nidek is discontinuing this model in th UK so I suppose when the parts run out they will not be able to repair so the machines will be destroyed
Just wondered what happens in the states

    Thanks

    Just to Clarify...........

We have loads of parts for the Santinelli 7070. Since this is a discontinued model and we still sell the reconditioned model, It would not make sense for us to give away parts for a machine in another country that we did not sell.
We have to reserve our parts inventory for our customers. We support our customers for life.
The 7070 model is STILL our highest and most popular machine.

In the future, when 7070 sales give way to the newer models, then we will consider selling 7070 parts to our non customers. Until then, Our customers come first. We have an extensive inventory to back up our lifetime support.

    On another note,

Before the 7070 became our #1 machine, We sold a ton of Horizon III models. This edger is now getting older and we have excessive inventory of parts. We have enough parts for our customers, and the rest of the world!!! National Optronics have recently discontinued most of these parts so feel free to give me a call if you need them.

This will probably be the same situation with the 7070 in a few years.

The 7070 was built to last . Think of the 7070 as the old MAYTAG washer.

    7070 does the job....

I used one for years at my old job. Gary is right about the machine being a solid performer. Keep it clean and calibrated and it pumps 'em out. The thing I liked the most was it's ability to very consistently reproduce perfectly sized lenses. I rarely had a problem with a lens suddenly sizing wrong. Also it's true, when you see them get discontinued it's either because they were too good or they had to go. In this case I believe it is the former. Chris.

Well, a basic service would include an LMU calibration, a tracer calibration and an axis calibration. There are three separate guages for that. Other than that just some basic tools to dissassemble parts for cleaning.
