I learned today that LKahn of Optical Chemicals has passed on. Several months ago he was attacked while on a business trip and had been slowly recovering. Unforunately, he did not survive.

Age 66, of Pittsburgh, was called to be with the Lord, Friday, April 27, 2007. Beloved husband of Ruth (Thornhill) Kahn; loving father of Tina (Phil) Brandi, Kristin (Manson) Seto and the late Aaron Kahn; son of Harriet Kahn and brother of Karen Tkach & Shelley Johnson. Scott is also survived by 7 grandchildren and many family & friends. Wow, this is horrible news. My condolences go to the family.
My condolences as well. But are we sure this is the right person. From the notice in the paper it says passed away on April 27, but his last Optiboard post was on May 10th. In addition, wasn't he based out of Florida not Pittsburgh?
This really bad news. All my sympathies.
I tried to call Larry 2 weeks ago and the number was disconnected, the website http://opticalchemicals.com has been suspended and is not active.
However I know that he did live in Orlando as ther informarion below states.

WTF??!! Ok I need to find out if this is true or not!! If you have ever had the opportunity to talk with him on the phone it's a lot of fun and he's a great guy who always gave good advice. I hope and pray that this is just not true!

Seriously!?! I was hoping this was some sort of mix up! Where is his co-worker Richard? This is like a punch to the stomach!
I have to get more info on this! He was attacked? Do we know how and why? and who is this person who made the initial post? I mean common man the guy called out of the blue to wish my family a happy Thanksgiving! He was great to talk to.
How awful...
I hope the perp is caught and justice is served.

of talking to him, but you could tell from his posts on here that he had a generous spirit. My condolences to his family. We have lost a good one!!
Days where my gratitude exceed my expectations are very good days!
This is a shock and awful news. Although I am confused about how he could have died on 4/27 and have posted on this site on 5/11 (unless the post was from one of his family members using his OB account?).
I extend my sympathy and sorrow to his family and friends. :(
