anybody get their results yet?

Well I got mine. I missed the exam by 5 stinking points!!! And when I went to look at the categories I did not do well on, the one that was below standard was of course business management. Oh well, I guess I'll be taking it at the Vision Expo at Vegas

Did anybody else take the advanced certification for the ABO or NCLE? How did everybody else do on their tests??

I'm still waiting on mine!! It seems that it's average to take the AC test twice before passing. I'm assuming I failed but it would be a nice suprise if I passed!

hey optidonn. did you take the abo and ncle advanced cert at the same time?? If you did, tell me what you thought about the tests and how ya did

Yup I took the ABO-AC at the same time but in Chicago of course. My over all impression of the test was that it was not that hard. I had already known the formulas but was not very proficient with them so I burned a considerable amount of time double checking my work as time wore down I began to feel more preasure to finish. Bacause of this I don't think I passed. The test was not the ultra hard test I was expecting but it sure as heck wasn't a cake walk either!

and you took the ncle advanced version as well? what did you think about that test? Tell me about the exam a little bit if you can

I took the NCLE-AC and am still waiting on the results, but I am almost positive I passed. The test was great the material was covered in full in the CLSA Advanced Contact Lens Manual. A majority of the test was identifying scenarios (lots of conditions due to overwear, if you ask me). I actually enjoyed it and thought it was a heck of a lot easier than the ABO-AC, but I was also studying like a mad man for it, because like Donn mentioned I toke the ABO-AC twice, so I was studying my but off to prevent that from happening again.

No I was planning on taking both at the same time but couldn't for financial reasons. Taking it this fall though. Time to start studying!
