    Bilingual POS retail applications

    Good day,

I was wondering what POS bilingual retail front ends people are using for their eyewear boutiques. I've come across a number of good american made applications, however they are all completely in english and I will need french forms, and a french interface. At the outset I'm also looking for multi office support, but that part is optional.

Does anyone have any good suggestions?

That's an interesting question. There are probably all French applications, and there are definitely all English applications, but a bilingual one...that might be harder to find.

Are you a member of the Opticians Association of Canada? They may be able to lead you in the right direction. Or attend Vision Canada and, if it's anything like the optometric trade shows, you can meet up with potential software suppliers. Good luck with your search!

    RE: Bilingual Optical POS

I am an optician and a programmer, and I am presently working on such an application.

Multi-site, real-time inventory, real-time patient activity, possibility to search inventory in real time to initiate frame transfers, real-time employee management, real-time prices and discount management.

The application can be used in English and French. Possibility to use another language in the future.

Server side can be Windows or Linux based (MySql version 5.5) Front end Windows based only.

    No demo presently available.
