    Physio 360

Check Face Form Angle and try to adjust Face Form Angle to 5 degree.

To learn more about Face Form Angle : http://www.apcthai.com/forum/forum_p...sp?TID=62&PN=2

After adjusting Face Form Angle and still have a problem , please try Hoyalux iD corridor 14 mm or Shamir Autograph or Nikon Presio W or Rodenstock Multigressiv ILT or Rodenstock Impression ILT.

Fezz , if you come to Bangkok , I will offer 10 cans of beer.

tktien , you can order from Rodenstock distributor in your area and now they have Face Form Angle version 2 that is much better than version 1.

In case that you can not get from Rodenstock distributor in your area , please contact me to order for you.

The key of success for Hi-End PALs business is trial Hi-End PALs in trial PALs. When the wearer can see what they are going to pay , they will buy in one second no matter how much the price is , because it depends only on the performance.

To learn more about how to present the Hi-End PALs for the wearer : http://www.apcthai.com/forum/forum_p...sp?TID=76&PN=1

PHYSIO 360 is FAIL PRODUCT OF ESSILOR.
    NOT SUCCESSFUL in WORLD MARKET.

ESSILOR THAILAND not import to THAILAND.
because it .. may be come to DIED IN THAILAND SAME IPSEO.

PHYSIO 360 ... BORN in Europe ... very slow growth in many country.

IT born from Definity by buy technology NOT self R&D.
same as PHYSIO ... that NOT self R&D

ESSILOR need more time at least 8-10 year to self develop free form PALs
if NOT buy technology from other company.

Essilor has a lot of money to buy a lot of technology.

Essilor has enough money to buy the most labs in any country.

But Essilor can not buy them all , because many people that money can not buy.

When the wearer cannot adapt to the most expensive Essilor PALs like Physio 360 or Ipseo, it does not mean this wearer cannot use PALs. It is just the wrong PALs which can be fixed with Hoyalux iD , Zeiss Individual , Rodenstock Impression ILT.

If you don't believe me , just try and you will see the truth. ( Sometimes the info of the PALs Company cannot be trusted , but you can trust the comment of the wearer. )

    Bobie:

That Rodenstock wrap angle protractor is just the same one I use!

If you look at my comments elsewhere on Essilor Accolade Freedom, you will notice my clients have responded well to this lens when coming from both Rod ILT & Zeiss Individual.

Does your progressive analysis of Accolade Freedom with harmonix support my anecdotal experience?

    Thanks

Essilor Accolade Freedom is good PALs if compare with Essilor Ovation. It is very safe to switch from Essilor Ovation to Essilor Accolade Freedom.

    Hi Tk,
After reading your problem I felt, Fitting cross maybe too high, Reading Add maybe too high or you distant Rx maybe under minus/over plus.

Possible solution - I agree with Bobie in increasing the FFA which will increase the field of view, however if try fit it closer and lower it may help you more to improve acuity.

    Fitting the 360

I wear the Essilor Physio360 and enjoy it - along with Hoya ID, Rodenstock ILT, etc. I've tried them all - and I have experienced the distance blur that your client is talking about.

To avoid that in the future, make sure that the BVD is no more than 13 mm from the eyelid. Ensure that there is enough pantoscopic tilt to provide an even pan of the eye down up and across the lens, and make sure you fit the lenses with monocular PD's and heights. You might also want to check the height with a HMS (Height Measuring System) to ensure that you are viewing the client eye to eye, and not looking down on them (which would make the fitting cross too high)

Frames with a wide side arm that make the lens sit flat with no pantoscopic tilt, or worse - retroscopic tilt - will ruin any progressive fit.

Also - I'd ask the optometrist how valuble that .25 cyl is to the RX outcome. With it at 90 degrees it could be your culprit. It may be just enough to drive your client mad - I know it would me. Just because cyl is found, doesn't mean the optometrist must prescribe it.

    Cheers and good luck

    Wide temples

In regards to the comment regarding wide temples, a total pet peeve of mine. The people designing these frames have no clue as to optics. It looks good to them so they must be great. Grrrrrr!

As to the Physio 360, I have tried it and have no problem with distance blur. Tried a couple of previous prog. wearers in them and had no distance complaints. Got no great reviews. Basically not much difference between them and what they were wearing before.

I couldn't agree with anyone more. I HATE the wide temples. I wouldn't mind if you could file them away on an angle, and readdress the whole panto issue, but they have the audacity to put metal ends at the hinge! There's no hope with those - you can't even properly fit aspheric single vision lenses without a struggle.

Where do we go to start a movement of boycotting those ghastly things. Silhouette and Daniel Swarovski have made a few frames with floating lenses mounted as a nylon supra. At least with these you can adjust the tilt in the lens mount giving actual pantoscopic tilt.

Thank you for making me feel I'm not a lone disgruntled D.O.!

    Hi Mary-Sue,

I could not have agree with you more about those ghastly designs(thick sides). Yeap, it's good to know we are not alone, that makes us three.

Anyway Mary-Sue, have you had any personal experience with Individually customized progressive lenses? Can you share any experiences. It is still considered new after over 5 years. Not many is talking about them(Individual customization).:hammer:
