    Mission Critical Beta Testing ? ? ?

I wonder if there will be any interest in this beta program.

You are asking the practice quite a bit. You want the beta test site to kill the system that they are using and adopt a new unproven application to perform the mission critical functions of their practice. They must then retrain everyone in the new systems use and chase down and resolve any variances. And, what if the system bombs out and the beta tester withdraws from the program.

Why don’t you just bite the bullet, drop the beta test program and do your own quality assurance. Alternately, you could farm it out and have it professionally validated.

Unless, of course, this is merely a marketing effort disguised as a “beta.”

rbaker, I agree with you 100%.

It's extremely hard for an existing practice to move over from what works to a new solution and I would never recommend an existing practice who is happy with their existing practice management solution to do so. We are looking for a practice that is currently thinking of switching to a new practice management solution or one that is currently not using an optometry practice management solution.

Our primary goal in this north west beta program is to implement, train and support a location that is completely on the other side of the country as our headquarters. The reason the location has to be between Salem and Seattle is because we have someone available in that area in the event that something goes wrong during the implementation process and the site wont be left hanging.

If someone is unhappy with your product, would you provide free return of data to the former program's format?

npdr, we woud revert them back...

with no questions asked. We are just looking for someone to try our software on the West Coast, if they are not happy with it, we want to make sure that they can get back to business using their old practice management solution.

Thanks. a couple of more questions?

    1. Why do you think your software is so much more better than the current competition?
    2. Is it a hosted application or a server-based (in the office) software package?

    npdr,

We think the primary advantage we have over most of our competitors is ease of use, LiquidVision was designed to be extremely intuitive so anyone could sit down in front of the system and with minimal instructions begin performing the day to day operations of the practice.

Another advantage is our employees are extremely accessible every one of our customers has direct access to our lead developer either via MSN Messenger or his cell phone, that way if they feel there is something that can be improved in the software they can call him and make the suggestion directly to him. We recently rewrote our entire billing system based on the suggestion of one of our customers and it turned out really fantastic.

The software is client/server based and the server resides in the office. The database technology we use is very robust and is scalable so you can run multiple offices off of one server.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask them.

    Thanks, Mr Barvitz, then,

    1. An enterprise quality or level relational database ("The database technology we use is very robust")?
    2. More of an office management kind of software? Or does it also have electronic medical record capability (EMR)?

    npdr,

The database we use is an enterprise level rational database based on the Borland Database Engine.

Currently the software is just office management, however we are in the final phases of development for our EMR and Dispensary modules. All of our customers will receive these modules if desired at no cost once they become available. Our current estimate for completion of the modules is August.

Again if you have anymore questions please don't hesitate to ask,
