Tatum Fisher, infant daughter of Derek Fisher, Utah Jazz, has been in the news.
Opticians (and docs!) will get questions concerning her type of cancer.

Very sad,
I read about this long ago. Usually the first sign can be seen in the photographs. The picture in the article is a classic example.

While fish hooks are not high on my list, this is the reason I have made a lot of artificial eyes for infants. The good news is it usually only affects one eye. Most but all of the time does not spread if caught early.
Have been told this is the only form of cancer one can be born with.
