    Friday the 13th

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Friday occurring on the 13th day of any month is considered to be a day of bad luck in English, German, Polish and Portuguese-speaking cultures around the globe. Similar superstitions exist in some other traditions. In Greece or Spain, for example, Tuesday the 13th takes the same role. The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia (a word that is derived from the concatenation of the Greek words Παρασκευή, δεκατρείς, and φοβία, meaning Friday, thirteen, and phobia respectively; alternate spellings include paraskevodekatriaphobia or paraskevidekatriaphobia) or friggatriskaidekaphobia, and is a specialized form of triskaidekaphobia, a phobia (fear) of the number thirteen.

Chris, I think we had our Friday 13th patient late yesterday. She was our last patient, took until 7:00 to pick out her glasses (we close at 6:30), and kept the folks at the front desk waiting another 15 minutes after that while she talked on her cellphone

(Yes, I've talked with the front desk folks and supported them to tell patients like her to take their cellphone conversation elsewhere . . .)

Bravo! Good for you. Breath in the relief that one can only experience when such things happen. Be wary though. It is not always greener on the other side.

Best of luck. Thats a big step. Now go and Seize the Day!!!!!

Gee, I hope my chiropractor doesn't have a Friday 13th day today. Last thing I need are my vertebrae over-moved.

Nothing to be sorry about - Really!

Today we buried my mother in law

    She was 79 years old.
Her husband died on Easter Sunday, 16 years ago.
    She died this Easter Sunday.
    She had 10 children.
    She had 35 grandchildren.
    She had 14 great grandchildren.
    She was ready to go.
The funeral was a great party.

    We are happy for her.
